Step by Step Voter Guide: May 2019 Philippines Election

Before going to the Polling Precinct:
  • Prepare a list of candidates that you intend to vote 
  • Do not bring campaign materials! 
  • No need to bring your own pen/ pencil. 


Time and Venue
  • Voting Precinct will open at 6 am and close at 6 pm 
  • You can check your precinct online via Comelec's precinct finder or call its hotline 526-77-69


  At the polling precinct:
  1. Check for your name on the voter's list 
  2. Some precinct will use the new voter registration verification machine. Fingerprint scanning technology will be used.
  3. Get your ballot, ballot secrecy folder, pen from the Board of Elections Inspectors Chairperson 
  4. Answer the ballot. 
  5. Insert your ballot to the vote counting machine. 
  6. Poll clerk will put indelible ink on your finger. 
  7. You will receive a voting receipt. Double check it if the list is the same as what you voted. 
  8. If the receipt is different from what you voted, proceed to the Board of Elections Inspectors to file a formal complaint. 
  9. If the receipt matches from what you voted, place your receipt in the voting receipt box. 
  10. You are not allowed to leave the polling precinct with your voting receipt!!
